Interview Skill Script # 3

Theatre is a rehearsal for life

If the play is regarding the Romans, the audience does not expect Egyptians on stage, if the theme is regarding religion; the audience does not expect car shows on stage.
During an interview, the interviewer is expecting all the points mentioned here under.
So give your audience (THE INTERVIEWER) what they want.

The importance of an interview:
· First Impression
·       -  Being yourself  - say the truth
·        - Know what you are saying
·        - Be precise
·         - Do not hesitate
·         - Look smart
·        - Be interested / ask relevant questions

SCENE 3

·         SMART
·         VERY HIGH QUALIFICATIONS
·         BEING VERY SMART IN SPEAKING (PRESENTATION SKILLS)
·         NOT OVER CONFIDENT BUT NOT SHY
· SHOW INTEREST IN COMPANY

Europe and Unemployment: CZECH REPUBLIC

Unemployment of Graduates in Czech Republic

Numbers:
Between 2008 and 2011 the unemployment rate grew from 6,21% to 17,75% (for apprentices) and from 3,6% to 6,98% (for master degree graduates). Which means that numbers started to grow in 2009 with the economic crisis. It also shows that the rate lowers with the higher education.

Reasons:
It is easier for employers not to give new jobs than to cancel existing positions. Also they obviously prefer experienced applicants.

Measurements taken by The Czech Ministry of Emplyment in 2010:

Measures taken by The Czech Ministry of Employment in 2010:
- Financially support for employers to create socially efficient graduate jobs (traineeships);
- to give priority to graduate people
- to prefer prevention (vocational guidance)

Problem to solve:

FLEXIBILITY: school education needs to focus more on developing skills than gaining a knowledge (more experiences for graduates).
MOBILITY: Housing policy needs to change - regulated rent (one of the communism relicts) causes that people rather buy the property than rent the flat – so they are not willing to move for job opportunities.

Our organization (ISC CTN in Prague):
Offers the possibility to (voluntarily) participate at various activities and develop practical skills (such as presentation skills, organizational skills, team working, etc…).

Europe and Unemployment: LATVIA

In Latvia unemployed youth people are about the 13% and 16% of population.

In particular, in the city of Rezekne the rate of unemployed youth people is about 26%: here the population of city decreased twice).

In Latvia, the minimum salary is about 230 €.

A lot of Latvian people emigrate aborad, because there are not a loto of work opportunities. It is very hard to find a job for women after 30 years old and most of the men have to do manual work.

The unemployment in Latvia started because of the crisis in 2007 and now a lot of people haven’t got a job because a lot of factories and firms have closed down.

Some solutions that might helpare:
-        -  To study more professional jobs;
-         - To develop small business, especially in the tourism area;
-         - To learn languages;
-         - To always continue with self-development, eg. training courses;
-          - To do voluntary work.

Work and babies # 5

WORK AND BABIES # 5
"Are you planning to have a job? Then don’t plan to have children!"

”Maria has been unemployed for almost a year and is looking hard for a job. Ten days ago she went
for an interview for her dream job - it was exactly what she was looking for! Everything went well and
she was offered the position. The company asked her to have a meeting with Mr. Wladstock, the

personnel officer in order to sign her contract.

She had already discussed her duties and other job-related issues at the interview. Just as Maria was
about to sign the contract, Mr. Wladstock said that a condition of the job was that she signs a
declaration that she will not have a baby for the next two years.”

...How did it end?...

Europe and Unemployment: GREECE

In Greece the unemployment of young people is increasing every day.
Graduates cannot find jobs neither in their specialities nor in other sectors.  As a result , most of the educuated and talent Greek people leave their country and seek opportunities abroad where they are more aprreciated. Due to the fact that education and governments do not provide the right guidance to young people, it is difficult for Greece to overcome the economic crisis and develop.

On the other hand, there are the ones that don’t give up and go on strikes in order to alter the situation.

It’s true that most people in Greece are disappointed but finally the only solution is to stay and fight for a better future.

Women: 14%
-          Our Region (Voievodship) of Lodz: 9%
